Dear Friends & Colleagues,
It has been a busy 2012 so far at SAIPR. On the international front:
Somalia's Presidential Race
SAIPR is assisting the People Party of Somalia and their Presidential Candidate, Dr. Said Mohamud, in the first election since the collapse of the government in 2012. Dr. Mohamud was recently in New York City and we used the opportunity to unveil the party's "Security Strategy for Somalia." The story made the cover of the Mogadishu Times on the otherside ot the world the following day accompanied with a Reuters photo taken at the press conference in NYC. On the national front:
Ballot Access and more for Newt Gingrich
After an unsuccessful attempt to get on the ballot in Virginia, the Gingrich team needed to ensure subsequent states did not meet the same unfortunate fate. They hired SAIPR to secure the delegates and ballot access in New York State. SAIPR has delivered the state to other Presidential candidates when the rules were much more onerous. SAIPR also helped the Gingrich campaign by giving them access to a voter file of email addresses in North Carolina to cost effectively get their message out to Republican voters.

George Maragos for US Senate in New York
SAIPR recently produced a TV commercial for the US Senate Race of George Maragos. SAIPR also assisted Maragos when he ran for Nassau County Comptroller. George Maragos has the distinction of repeatedly passing budgets without ever raising taxes on Nassau County taxpayers. That's a powerful quality for candidate to poses in a year of budget deficits and financial crisis.
